About Me!! My country is almost surrounded by the deep blue Mediterranean Sea. It's a beautiful land of mountains, peninsulas and islands in southeast Europe. The highest mountain is Mount Olympus where greeks long ago believed the gods lived. Our flag has a white cross symbolizing our major religion, which is Greek orthodox. At Greek Orthodox festivals, we enjoy food, wine, and dancing. Often, we damce side by side, holding hands. Typical dishes are roasted lamb, dolmatches, and moussaka.
